• Name and email address on registration
• Date of birth for age verification only
• Phone number if you choose to provide it
• Your location — only during active walks or when you activate an emergency feature, never in the background
• Trusted contact names, phone numbers and email addresses
• Audio recordings during SOS events — deleted automatically after 30 days
• Safety reports you submit to the community map
• SafeChat messages — deleted automatically after 30 days
• For child accounts: name, age group, school name, approved destinations, and parent or guardian details

• To provide the SafeWays Companion personal safety service
• To send emergency alerts to your chosen contacts
• To share your location during walks with selected contacts only
• To verify trusted contact connections
• We never sell your data to any third party
• We never share your data with advertisers

• Child accounts require parental or guardian consent before activation
• A child's location is only ever shared with their parent or guardian and named trusted contacts
• Child data is never used commercially
• SafeWays Companion is compliant with the UK Age Appropriate Design Code
• Parents can request full deletion of a child's data by emailing contact@safewaysuk.co.uk

• We only share data with contacts you explicitly add to your Safety Circle
• We use Base44 as our platform infrastructure provider
• We may share data with law enforcement if legally required to do so
• We never share data with advertisers or data brokers

• Walk tracking data: deleted automatically after 30 days
• Audio and video recordings: deleted automatically after 30 days
• SafeChat messages: deleted automatically after 30 days
• Account data: retained until you request deletion
